This is how your afternoon was going so far. You were pointlessly laying around in Lovino's living room right now. It was a sunny Sunday evening, such a beautiful day to go outside and enjoy the fresh air! Nope. Not in your world. At least not right now.

You were currently spinning and stopping a world globe that you had found behind a couch. Lovi wasn't around at the moment, so you decided it would be fun to take a quick look at it and discover new countries!

What a bad idea that was.

After about 15 minutes of trying to find new country names, you just got more and more depressed. Every time you'd take a look at Britain, you'd think of your friend who had just found a wonderful job over there. Every time you'd look at Australia, you'd remember your other friend and how she found the love of her life during a trip to Canberra and was now getting married in a couple of months. Heck, you'd even take a look at Canada and wish you could be there right now!

But no. Here you were, in your best friend's living room, spinning a pathetic little globe while everyone around you were having the times of their lives and actually doing something productive.

I'm a nobody.

You sighed and buried your face in the crook of your arm. Now you felt even more than depressed. Just then, the sound of a heavy door slamming made its way to your ears.

"__________, I'm home! I hope you didn't fucking break anything while I was gone!"

Greaat.

Just the person you wanted to see. The last thing you needed right now was your Italian friend yelling his head off. Since you didn't want to upset him even more, you remained silent and continued staring at the globe.

"Ragazza? Where the hell are you? You didn't answer me!" His footsteps approached the living room at rather fast pace, and you felt his gaze drop onto you.

You didn't even turn around to greet him. Your (e/c) eyes remained glued to that small yet annoying globe.

Stupid globe. Go die, already.

Lovino raised an eyebrow and stared at you, confused. You were curled up in a little ball, your head in your arms as you were facing his old world globe.

"Uh... ___________?" He took a hesitant step towards you and placed a soft hand on your shoulder. He shook you a little bit, wondering if you were asleep or something. You released an irritated grunt, making him flinch. At least he knew you weren't sleeping.

"Idiota, I thought you had fallen asleep! Now, get up and help me unpack these stupido groceries." He grabbed your right arm and tried to pull you up.

At first, you felt yourself depart from the floor. But you quickly changed that as you pulled yourself back down. Lovino frowned and pulled you up harder. Still, you refused to move. You were really upsetting him right now.

"____________, get the fuck up." He warned.

"Nmph."

"Cosa?"

"I SAID NO, DAMMIT!" You hissed, making him jump back a few steps.

"Jeez, what's the matter with you? Are you on your period or something?

You got up, blood boiling and eyes twitching with anger. Lovi had just crossed the line. Why couldn't he understand that you didn't feel like talking right now?

Taking a menacing step towards him, he became a little paler and raised his hands up in defense.

"I'M NOT ON MY FUCKING TIME OF THE MONTH, LOVI! WHY CAN'T YOU JUST UNDERSTAND THAT I DON'T WANT TO TALK TO YOU RIGHT NOW? DOES THIS FACE LOOK LIKE IT WANTS TO HEAR YOUR STUPID COMPLAINING?"

Lovino stared at you in disbelief, before he saw your form weaken and fall onto the nearest couch. You buried your face in your hands before sighing heavily. What was happening to you all of a sudden?

"_-_________?" He finally took the liberty of sitting beside you on the sofa. You were trembling a bit.

"I-I just feel so useless, all of a sudden. I just realized that almost everybody I know is either meeting the love of their life right now or being hired for an amazing new job in a beautiful country. And what am I doing? Nothing!" You sniffed a couple of times before putting yourself back together. "I just wish I could do something useful in life while I still can. While I'm still young! There are so many things I want to do, but I just can't. I just..."

You stared at the blank wall in front of you while Lovino admired your honesty. You had always seemed like the carefree and happy type of girl. He would have never imagined that inside that little heart of yours, you felt that way. And about that part of her friends finding the loves of their lives, his own heart jumped a little as he heard this. The Italian breathed in deeply and turned you to him. Your eyes weren't as red as he expected him to be, but there was a little path on your cheek where a previous tear had fallen.

It was now or never, he thought.

"__________, I'm sorry you feel that way. I didn't know you even thought about all of those things. And never say that you are useless! Because you're an amazing young woman and you are destined for great things in life, I know it!" He wiped your next tear away and flashed you a bright smile. You hiccuped and smiled weakly in return. But that smile was enough for him to continue his confession.

"Unfortunately, I can't do anything about that job problem..." You looked up at him and chuckled.

"I don't really care anyways, so it's no big-" You were cut off by him.

"-BUT! I can do something about that whole love of your life problem..."

You blinked a couple of times and shook your head.

"Wha-"

Lovino shut you up by cupping your cheeks and pulling you in for a soft kiss. It was brief, but so full of love.

"Ti amo, _______________. And I promise to be by your side every step of the way." He whispered, now pulling you in for one of those hugs you adored so much.

You smiled widely and buried your face in his neck, taking in his scent and taking a hold of his sweater.

"Thank you."
