Cleaning a little spot of dirt on the left side of his dear plane, Lovino didn't notice his younger brother trotting in his direction at full speed, joy radiating from his eyes.
"Lovi! Lovi! I need to talk to you!" The older Italian sighed in annoyance at his sibling's hyperactive behavior and squeezed his eyes shut to stop himself from blowing up.
"What is it, idiota?" He hissed between clenched teeth, refusing to turn around to speak to him. He grabbed his filth covered clothe and resumed cleaning the patch of dried up dirt.
"I just wanted to let you know that I invited ________ over to the airport for the day! So when you see her, please don't be rude." At the sound of your name, Lovino somehow fell off of the stool he was standing on to clean his small plane and landed square on his ass. He grumbled a few curses under his breath as he got himself up on his feet again.
"Y-You invited her over? WHY?!" Feliciano paled and took a step back, a bit intimated.
"Please, relax! So what if I invited her? She's friendly-" Feliciano was cut off by Alfred, another pilot who had a plane at the airport of his own. He popped up from behind Lovino, giving him quite a good scare.
"Dudes, 'sup? I overheard your conversation and got curious, who's coming over again?" Lovino glared at him and huffed as he crossed his arms over his chest and looked away. The last thing he needed right now was that American knowing about _________ and his ginormous crush on her.
"None of your damn business. Now do us a favor and go f-"
"Hey, guys!" The three men turned their heads towards you in surprise. You grinned and waved at them happily. Your (h/c) hair was in a french braid, going down to your lower back. You were dressed up in a cream colored button-up blouse with your sleeves rolled up to your elbows along with forest green jean shorts and dark combat boots that went right above your ankles. In the eyes of any man, you were the perfect definition of adorable and innocent.
Lovino felt his heart skip a beat at the sight of your beautiful face and couldn't resist the urge to let a small smile tug on his lips. But that smile soon vanished when he noticed the way Alfred was staring at you. He narrowed his eyes, balled his fists and resisted the temptation to pounce on him and strangle him.
"________, bella!" Feliciano walked over to you and embraced you in his arms. You chuckled and gladly returned his hug.
The sight of you and Feli didn't mind the older Italian since he knew you and Feli were just good friends. Besides, Feliciano knew about Lovino's crush on you and never would he dare get in his older brother's way.
The sudden movement of the American coming towards you snapped him out of his little daydream. He waited for Feli to step back before he gingerly took a hold of your hand and covered it in little kisses as he knelt on the ground. Lovino practically exploded in jealousy.
"Pleased to meet you, little lady! I'm Alfred Jones, but feel free to call me Al." He winked up at you which caused a major blush to spread across your cheeks and nose.
"Pleasure to meet you too, Al." You chuckled while looking away as you smiled. Lovino brought a hand up to his mouth and coughed loudly in it, trying to gain your attention. Well, it seemed to have worked.
"LOVI!" You squealed as you pounced into his arms. He stumbled back a bit, wrapping his arms around your waist. He rolled his eyes in a playful way.
"Heh, glad you could make it, ragazza." He looked past your shoulder and smirked competitively at Alfred who raised an eyebrow in an unimpressed manner before a smirk of his own plastered across his face. But before anyone could say anything, you pulled away from Lovino and smiled innocently.
"___________, you stay with Lovino and Alfred, alright? I got a call from Ludwig saying he needed help for something and I have to go away for a while. Ciao!" He giggled before running towards his car that was parked not too far away. You waved and turned back to face the two men.
"So, what were you guys doing before I got here?"
"Oh, I was just cleaning a patch of dirt on my plane." Lovino mumbled, bringing a hand behind his head to scratch it nervously. You nodded and looked to Alfred's side.
"I was just about to take mine for a joy ride! But since you're here, feel like taking it for a spin with me?" He tucked his hands in his pant's pockets confidently and leaned on Lovi's plane, making him boil with anger.
Your eyes widened in fear and you took a step back.
"O-Oh I don't think that's a good idea... You see, I have a small fear of-"
"Nonsense! As long as you're with me, everything will be great!"
"B-But Al, you don't understand. I really don't want-"
Alfred took your hand and dragged you towards his own plane, ignoring your frightened expression. The Italian, on the other hand, noticed how scared you looked and was beginning to get worried. What if you started freaking out in midair? He couldn't bare the idea of you being scared to death, high up in the skies and alone with that jerk. He balled his fists and marched his way towards where you and Alfred had headed off to.
Too late, though.
For the American had already strapped you in and started his plane's engine. Lovino, feeling the hope drain out of his body, started running after the plane which had already embarked on the track. He knew he looked stupid doing this, but you meant everything to him and he was willing to do anything and everything to keep you from harm. He yelled until he felt like his throat was on fire, but the engine kept on blocking his voice out.
"Alfred! Stop the damn plane! I swear, you'll regret this if you don't listen to me!" But the plane had already gained speed and Lovino was out of breath. He watched the bird-like machine take off into the sky.
After a couple minutes of nonstop panting and wheezing, he regained his posture and looked back up into the sky. With a kick to the ground and a few other curses, Lovino walked back towards the miniature that sheltered his plane. He kept on thinking about you and your terrified face. God, he was going to kill that guy for forcing you into this!
Sighing, he took a seat on the small stool on which he had fallen off of earlier and rested his chin in the palm of his hand. The only thing he could do now is wait.
About an hour later, Lovino woke up to the sound of two people arguing. He rubbed his sleepy eyes and looked around, confused. What he saw next definitely made his day.
You, with arms crossed over your chest, were walking back from the track where Alfred's plane was parked with a pissed off expression on your face. Alfred was right behind you. Although his eye was now a disgusting shade of violet. He obviously got a punch in the face from someone.
"Babe, I'm sorry! Look, all I wanted was to have a little fun with you! I didn't want to scare you!" He begged, throwing his arms into the air. You made a sharp stop and quickly turned around to face him.
"No, don't you f--king apologize to me! I told you I was deathly afraid of heights! You heard me beg you not to bring me into that damned plane of yours! But you still did it, thinking I was trying to be cute! Asshole! Just get away from me, okay?" You jabbed your finger into his chest one last time as you accused him. You huffed angrily and walked away from him and towards Lovino.
"Something wrong, bella?" You glared at the blond American one last time before grabbing Lovino's arm and dragging him somewhere else.
"I'll explain everything later."
"I knew that idiota was up to no good." The Italian complained after hearing your story. You were both on the hood of your car, looking up at the skies that were starting to turn from ocean blue to a peachy orange.
Apparently, after he took off into the sky, Alfred didn't even pay attention to your screaming. When you were begging him to land, he just shrugged and started doing loop-dee-loops with the plane, frightening you to the point where you felt like fainting. Lovino made a mental note to punch him in the jaw the next time he would see him.
"Yeah, I actually thought he was kind of cute at first. Can you believe that?" The young man coughed awkwardly and looked away, disappointed by that remark. He desperately tried to find a new topic to change the subject.
"What did you say he said to you before he started the plane?" You smirked and turned to him, raising a suggestive eyebrow.
" I'll be Burger King and you be McDonald's. I'll have it my way, and you'll be lovin' it."
You were both sent into an uncontrollable fit of laughter. God, Alfred could be so cheesy sometimes.
Suddenly, you snuggled a little closer to Lovino, resting your head on his arm which was partially wrapped around your shoulders.
"You know, I should have just stayed with you instead on going with him. You're way nicer." He smiled and looked down at you with those charming amber eyes of his.
"It wasn't your fault, _________. He's the one who dragged you away with him."
"Yeah, thanks for understanding, though." You snuggled a little closer to him and buried your nose into his shirt. He was about to let his eyelids droop, feeling comfortable in this position. But the sudden sound of your voice quickly woke him up.
"Hey, Lovi?" He gently stroked your hair.
"We should do this more often. Like, hang out together. Kind of like this. It's nice." Lovino felt like fist pumping the air in pure victory, but restrained himself, not wanting to strartle or weird you out. Instead, he just hugged you a little closer to his body and nodded in agreement.
"I would like that too, __________."
