EnglandxReader ~ Hunger Games Pick Up Lines...

Unlocking the door to Alfred's room, Arthur took a few seconds to cover his mouth and quietly chuckle to himself. What he was about to do wasn't going to be fair, but it was payback. Payback for what he had done to him a couple of months back.

"So you weren't kidding when you said you were going to get him back?" You whispered to the Brit as you crouched down next to him. He smirked and started opening up random drawers.

"Trust me when I say this is going to be funny to watch."

Two months ago, Alfred had helped Arthur into sweeping you off of your feet by using pick up lines. Harry Potter related pick up lines to be exact. Little did Arthur know that Al had chosen the dirtiest pick up lines instead of the cute and sweet ones, like he had asked for. Yes, it did humiliate Arthur for a small while. But there was a good side to all of this! You two ended up by actually dating each other and your two month anniversary would be coming up in a couple of weeks! So why did Arthur want to get his friend back despite the fact that the American actually helped him a lot? Well, let's just say Arthur has a thing for revenge.

And it just so happens that Alfred currently had a crush one of your best friends and was planning on doing the same thing to them; Steal her heart by using unique pick up lines! Although he was going to do it a little differently...

He was planning on reciting them to her from her bedroom window, just like in movies. And instead of using Harry Potter related pick up lines, he chose lines from her own fandom. You guessed it...

THE HUNGER GAMES

Arthur was planning on doing the exact same thing to Alfred which was to swap his original cue cards to the ones Arthur wrote. So here you were, in Al's room, trying to find that damned sheet of paper to exchange it with Arthur's. You still have no idea what convinced you to help your boyfriend with this, but you figured it would be fun to watch. I mean, of course you guys were going to watch the whole thing from the bushes!

"Found it!" Whispered the Brit as he nudged your shoulder. You turned to him and threw your thumbs up, congratulating him. He nodded and slipped the other sheet of paper into Al's desk drawer. You guys made sure to cover up anything that might have looked suspicious and darted from the room as quickly as possible. The American was out tonight, but he could arrive home at any moment.

"Now all we have to do is wait for the time to come." Grinned the Brit. He was obviously pretty proud of himself right now, you thought. When you two made sure you were out of Al's apartment, you grabbed him by the collar and pulled him down to your level for a quick kiss. After a few seconds, you pulled away and noticed his surprised expression.

"Wow... What was that for?" He chuckled. You smirked and tousled his blond locks.

"You have a twisted mind for doing this, but I like that."

The following night, at precisely 8:24 PM, you found yourself crouched behind a rather small and prickly bush in your friend's yard along with your boyfriend. You two had been waiting for over half an hour and wondered when would Alfred get here. You rested your head on Arthur's shoulder and whimpered.

"This is long. Can't you just set up a camera so we can go home and we can watch the tape later?" You complained to him. He looked at you disapprovingly and shook his head sideways, making his golden hair swish back and forth.

"Not a chance! I need to see this with my very own eyes. C'mon, love! Lighten up! This is going to be amusing." You rolled your eyeballs in annoyance as he snickered. The sound of a branch cracking made you both jump at the same time. You stretched your neck out to look over the bush's leaves and noticed Alfred climb up the stair's to (friend's name)'s outdoor porch. When he finally got to the top, he pulled a handful of rocks out of his pocket and started throwing the tiny pebbles at her bedroom window. Arthur and you and to hold yourselves back from laughing at his cheesiness.

After a couple of minutes, (friend's name)'s finally opened her window to see what was making that annoying noise. When she saw Alfred, her eyes grew wide.

"A-Al? What in the world are you doing here?" She asked at the blond American who nervously scratched the back of his head.

"I'm sorry to bother you at this late hour but... I just came here to tell you a couple of things that have been on my mind lately..." Arthur bit his lip as he felt the moment of truth approach. Alfred inhaled deeply, took the sheet of paper out of his pocket and placed it in front of his face for him to read.

"Is your name Katniss Everdeen, because you've got my District in an uprising." Arthur covered his mouth with both of his hands and froze. You did the same by fear of making any noise. (friend's name)'s jaw dropped and she blinked a few times, making sure what he said was true and not just a dream.

"I-I'm sorry?" Alfred was smiling brightly, thinking he had said the correct line. Only a few seconds after did he realize he had said something completely different.

"What? N-No that wasn't what I meant! I swear! L-Look I have more lines... I'll say them to you, look!" Arthur facepalmed at his friend's stupidity.

"You. Me. Mahogany table. Now." You choked back a laugh and squeezed Arthur's arm real hard. This wasn't real. This was too good to be true. Alfred was clueless of what he was saying. Oh how you felt bad for your friend who looked absolutely petrified up there.

"One night with me and I'll leave you as speechless as an Avox."

"WHAT??" Screeched (friend's name) as her face turned pale.

"Ugh, no wait! I'm so sorry these aren't the right lines!" Stuttered Alfred as he searched his papers, trying to find the right one.

"I'd volunteer as a tribute to go into your arena!"

"Like Katniss, my "arrow" shoots straight!"

"Wanna taste my poisonous berries?" Just as Alfred was about to throw his cue cards away and apologize, (friend's name) had already slammed her window shut in frustration and embarrassment. At the same moment, Arthur fell out of the bush laughing his head off, clutching his stomach for dear life and crying like never before. You regained yourself for a couple of second before giving up and falling on the opposite side of the bush, laughing so hard you started wheezing. Alfred stared at you both, at first surprised and shocked. But those feelings were quickly replaced by frustration and lots of anger.

"YOU LITTLE F*****RDS WAIT UNTIL I GET MY HANDS ON YOU! YOU TWO ARE SOOOOOOOOO GOING TO PAY FOR THIS YOU LITTLE S**TS I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU FOR THIS! ESPECIALLY YOU ARTHUR! GET BACK HERE SO I CAN RIP YOUR POISONOUS BERRIES OUT AND STUFF THEM IN YOUR MOUTH AND HOPE YOU CHOKE ON THEM!"

You quickly grabbed Arthur by the hand and took off into the street.

"This was actually genius of you! You're the best boyfriend ever, you know that?" You shouted at him while running by his side. He looked down at you and laughed.

"You're too kind, love. But you do realize that Al will surely murder us when he catches up to us?"

"Oh, I know."
